On Thursday, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has delivered hygiene kits to families living in Rakhine state to help battle against the coronavirus pandemic.
The Turkish government is concerned with the alarming rise of Covide19 cases in the Rakhine states and accordingly donated the healthcare kits to almost 3,000 Rohingya and Kaman families who are residing in IDP camp.
According to the Myanmar government around 4,000 new COVID-19 cases, including more than 70 deaths, was recorded across the country. Earlier this month, authorities instructed domestic airlines to suspend all services and also banned entry visas and international flights until the end of the month.
