On December 30 at around 10 am the 16-APBn rescued two Rohingyas from the forest adjacent to Shalbagan camp-26, who were kidnapped 11 days ago from Tangkhali camp-19.
The rescued victims have been identified as Md Anos (14) son of Karim Ullah resident of Tangkhali camp 19, block B10, and Abdullah (13) son of Md Hussein of the same camp, block C1.
Md Tarikul Islam Tarique, Superintendent of police told the process of handing victims to their relatives is underway and the investigation is ongoing to identify and arrest those involved in the crime.
A source said to RK that the criminals kidnapped them on December 19 around 8 am, tortured them and demanded ransom.
