The Annual World Press Photo Contest 2023 is now open for everyone to join around the world. This competition recognizes and celebrates the best photojournalism and documentary photography produced over the last year.
Reward: The winner will get €1,000 as a regional winner and an additional €5,000 as a global winner. The winners will be able to showcase their work in the Annual traveling exhibition. An invitation to a Winners’ event in Amsterdam and a physical award will also be presented.
Procedure to enter: The World Press Photo Contest is free to enter and open to all professional photographers working in the field of photojournalism and/or documentary photography.
If someone have entered the World Press Photo Contest on Picter in the last three years, he/she can log in using the same login details previously used.
Picter requires personal data as well as proof of professional status. All entries must have accurate captions and descriptions, written in English. Photographs entered into the Singles, Stories and Long-Term Projects categories must comply with rules on manipulation and must not be altered by adding, rearranging, reversing, distorting or removing people and/or objects from within the frame.
Deadline: Entries for the 2023 World Press Photo Contest are open until 10 January 2023, 13.00 CET.
