ANP wins in all constituency in Sittwe, Rakhine.

Arakan National Party won all seats from Akyab/Sittwe Township, Rakhine/Arakan State. 

U Kyaw Win Chye, Central Victory and Information Officer of ANP said that they have won in all three – (the House of Nationalities) and the lower house (the House of Representatives) of the Assembly of the Union, as well as State and Regional Hluttaws.

According to the election commission, ANP has won in all the four constituencies in Akyab/Sittwe township.

The following parties have competed for Akyab/Sittwe, in this year general election: 

  1. Arakan National Party (ANP), 
  2. Arakan Front party (AFP), 
  3. Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP), 
  4. National League for Democracy (NLD) and 
  5. an independent candidate.

There are a total of 107000 eligible voters in Sittwe township. 

In 2015 general election ANP also won all seats in Sittwe township.
