On Thursday morning, a Rohingya drug trafficker named Zahir Ahmed (35) son of Hossain Ahmed was arrested from Room no 205, Block E, Nayapara camp, Cox’s Bazar. The Bangladeshi Police also seized two weapons along with four bullets and 7,000 Ya Ba tablets. The tablets were concealed inside a sack at his home.
In refugee camps, drug dealing and trafficking are emerging on an alarming rate lately. These poverty stricken, landless inhabitants are engaging more into illegal jobs and crimes to earn lucrative amount of money to shift their livelihood.
