Cox’s Bazar: On Wednesday (5 October 2022) Md. Akter Hussein, Camp in Charge (CiC) of camp 2E in Ukhiya issued an order notice to all of the refugee shop keepers and street vendors to close their shops within 6 October.
“The ban order on closing shops has been officially issued after [they] cruelly beat up several refugee vendors and dismantled the goods,” a refugee from camp 2E told Rohingya Khobor (RK).
Another refugee under anonymity told RK that the food items being provided to refugees can not meet the daily necessities of a family, for which some of the refugees are having jobs, some are working as daily labor and few of the refugees are selling goods to cover the additional required family expenditure.
The decision taken by CiC will certainly force the refugees to choose the unlawful way in order to meet the required family expenditure, according to some refugees.
