Early on Monday morning, June 10, a violent incident occurred at Ukhiya’s Rohingya Camp No. 4 (Extension) in Block F, Cox’s Bazar, resulting in the deaths of three Rohingya individuals and the injuries of three others. We have sent the injured individuals to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for treatment.
According to local Rohingya residents, a group of armed Rohingya terrorists launched the attack around 3:45 a.m. Elias met his demise immediately, while Ishaq and Firoz lost their lives en route to the hospital.
Confirming the incident, Ukhiya Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shamim Hossain stated that the killings were a result of a power struggle within the camp. He also mentioned the hospitalization of three others who suffered serious injuries. The police are actively working to identify and apprehend those involved in the attack.
