The Center for Diversity and National Harmony (CDNH), is conducting a three-day training on social harmony in Maungdaw. The training started on Sunday 29th December 2019 and will end on Tuesday 31st of December 2019. The invitees are all village administrators of Maungdaw in association with the township administrator.
According to the website of the Center for Diversity and National Harmony (CDNH), it “is an independent non-governmental organization established with an overall objective to enhance social harmonization, peaceful coexistence and mitigation of violence in Myanmar. “
CDNH is funded by the Embassy of Denmark, Peace Support Fund, the Norwegian Foreign Ministry and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland.
However, a question arises in the minds of many – where the life of the people in Northern Rakhine State (NRS) has become worse than ever with no access to any basic needs, blockage of media, international humanitarian organisation and accountabilities, what training on social harmony has to do?
