Kutupalong, Cox’s Bazar | March 18, 2026

A fire broke out at an office of the International Rescue Committee in Camp 03, Block E01 in Kutupalong at around 1:50 p.m. on March 18, causing partial damage to the facility.

Members of the Rohingya community responded quickly and worked to control the fire before it could spread to nearby structures in the densely populated camp.

Site Management Support volunteers later arrived at the scene and helped bring the fire fully under control.

Due to the rapid response, the fire did not spread further and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
