A fire broke out today at around 1:30 PM in West Block A of Camp 01, leading to the complete destruction of one shelter and partial damage to two neighboring ones. Thanks to the swift action of local residents and volunteers, the fire was quickly brought under control, averting a larger catastrophe.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident. The displaced families have been relocated to temporary shelters, where humanitarian aid teams and local authorities are providing immediate assistance, including food, water, and basic necessities.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown, and authorities have launched an investigation. Community leaders have emphasized the need for enhanced fire safety measures and awareness campaigns to prevent similar incidents in the future.
