The immigration officers in Minbya township of Rakhine state today ordered the Rohingya Muslims to accept National Verification Card (NVC).
“The officials are tactfully forcing the Rohingyas to receive NVC though we Rohingyas have been denying from the beginning”, said a Rohingya from the town. “Our movement is being restricted day by day by authority”, he further added.
“In the epidemic situation of COVID-19, we Rohingya are suffering the most due to lack of work and food. And the government’s distribution of aids toward us is discriminatory. Many of our people did not get any support”, explained an IDP resident.
