Since 14th November, Rohingya Khobor (RK) have continued to receive disturbing ground reports from the situation unfolding in the Arakan between the Arakan Army (AA) and the Myanmar military junta.
On 14th November the AA captured two border guard posts Don Pike and Chang Khali villages. After the battle it is reported that Rathedaung based LIB (536) battalion opened fire and nearly one thousands villagers from five villages fled to safer places. It has also been reported that Rakhinese are moving to the Rohingya houses in Kyawktaw Township as fire continues to be exchanged between the fighting factions and where AA has stationed itself.
RK was informed that around 11 pm on 14th November that 5 Rohingya people were killed and several other Rohingyas have been injured in Myinbya Township. RK is still waiting for confirmation on all casualties in the area.
The price of good and materials have now soared and there no available health care for patients seeking emergency care.
A curfew has been imposed.
