Today at around 7:00 am a refugee female infant of 4 years died in Lanslide at Hakim Para camp 14 of Ukhiya.

The deceased has been identified as Jannat Ara (4) daughter of Jafor Alam and Hasina Begum resides at block A4 of camp 14 in Hakim Para of Ukhiya.

According to locals, the nearby people recovered the body by digging huge soil and the body was rushed to the camp base hospital where the on-duty doctor declared her dead.

Despite the refugees urging the concerned authority to develop the risky area, the authority didn’t listen to them. The refugees expressed their concern.

“Such horrific incidents mostly happen due to negligence in the camps,” a refugee elder said.
