1. The Eighth Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers convened in Tripoli, Socialist
People’s Libyan Arab Jamahiriya, one of the glorious lands of the Islamic World,
from 27th Jumad Al Awal to 3rd Jumad Al Thani 1397 H. (16-22 May, 1977), in
accordance with the resolution of the Seventh Islamic Conference of Foreign
Ministers held in Istanbul, and at the invitation of the Socialist People’s Libyan Arab
Jamahiriya.
2. The Conference was preceded by a Preparatory Meeting of the Senior Officials of
the Participating Delegations from 22nd to 25th Jumad Al Awal 1397 H (11-14 May,
1977),.
