Rakhine region: Today starting from 1 pm, deadly fighting between the Arakan Army (AA) and Myanmar Military Council stationed at Guda Pyin, a Rohingya village in Buthidaung continued. As a result Rohingyas’ houses were damaged and many Rohingya received gun injuries as a result of the shelling.
A Rohingya from Buthidaung told Rohingya Khobor (RK) that the Military took positions in the western side of main road of the village, while AA members forcefully stationed themselves amidst Rohingya village. Military is shelling in Rohingya village is being done to target the AA.
“Due to heavy shelling, Rohingyas’ houses and cattle got damaged, in addition many Rohingya received gun injury,” another Rohingya said by adding more residents of Guda Pyin are fleeing from the village.
Both AA and Myanmar military are intentionally doing this in Rohingya villages in order to kick out remaining Rohingyas from the villages of Rakhine state, Rohingya people claim.
A tense situation is prevailing around area.
