In a powerful display of unity and resilience, the Rohingya community gathered at the Camp-9 Football Field today for the “Movement for Justice” program. Organized by the Rohingya Youths, the event aimed to raise awareness and demand accountability for the ongoing atrocities and genocide faced by the Rohingya people.
The program, held from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, brought together community members, activists, and supporters. Attendees voiced their concerns about continued persecution and called for international action to restore the rights and dignity of the Rohingya.
Key speakers emphasized the importance of unity and advocacy in the pursuit of justice. They highlighted the community’s resilience despite years of displacement and suffering.
King Maung (Mohammed Rofique) delivered a powerful speech, stating, “We have a country—Myanmar, Arakan State, it’s our motherland, and we must never forget that.” He urged the community to remain steadfast, adding, “Justice is not given; it is earned through movement and determination. We must fight for it.” His call for perseverance and hope inspired the crowd as he concluded, “One day, we will return to our homeland, not as refugees, but with our rights and dignity restored.”
A participant remarked, “This is not just a gathering; it’s a call for justice, freedom, and recognition of our humanity. Together, we are stronger, and we will continue to fight for our rights.”
The event concluded with a collective commitment to continue advocating for justice and freedom. Organizers thanked participants for their active involvement and reaffirmed their dedication to the Rohingya cause.
