On 10 July (Monday) around 7 am, an active commander of Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) died in a gunfight between ARSA and Armed Police Battalion (APBn) at camp-17 of Ukhiya.
The deceased has been identified as Hussain Ahmed majhi, a senior commander of ARSA.
This was confirmed by 14 Armed Police Captain (Additional DIG) Sayed Haroon Or Rashid.
During this time, a large quantity of weapons, bullets, walkie-talkies, mobile phones and mobile sims were seized. The police said that the operation is still ongoing.
