On Saturday night, a Rohingya couple was arrested by members of the Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) from the Kutupalong refugee camp, Ukhiya, Bangladesh.
The APBn team had recovered Myanmar and Bangladeshi currency, gold and gold bars by digging the floor of their house. The couple were identified as Md Ayub and his wife Nure Nesa.
The 14th APBn commander SP MD. Naimul Haque told the press, by digging the mud floor of the couple’s house, 31,74,870 Kyat, Tk 26,03,120, three gold bars and gold ornaments were recovered.
The team would file a case against the Rohingya couple in the Ukhiya police station, the officer added.
