On Sunday 3:30 am some 8-10 members of armed group picked up a Rohingya man named Hafes Sayed Alam (28) from his house while he was taking Sahari and killed him by shooting and slitting throat.
The incident took place at camp-8 west, block A/50 in Ukhiya.
The Officer in Charge of Ukhiya police station, Sheikh Mohammed Ali confirmed it and said that Sayed Alam was associated with people not liked by the killers. This might be the reason, he has been killed hard-heartedly.
Later, with the help of APBN in charge of the camp, the body was recovered from the spot and sent to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem, OC said.
The refugees are in panic with unexpected serial killing in camps, especially in camp-8.
