Rohingya youth held in prison for smuggling 100, 000 yaba

On Thursday, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) caught a Rohingya youth with one hundred thousand (100,000) yaba from Ukhiya border area.

The detainee, Sharif Hossain (21), son of Bashir Ahmed resides from Kutupalong Refugee camp, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar.

According to Commanding Officer of 34th BGB Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Saiful Islam Chowdhury, a sudden raid of BGB at Tulatuli Joliler Goda at Rajapalong Union led to this capture. He said, the youth was smuggling yaba from Myanmar to Bangladesh. The man along with yaba were delivered to Ukhiya Police Station.
