A Rohingya man was seriously injured in a road accident involving a CNG vehicle in Camp 1E in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh on Saturday night.
The incident occurred near a four-way junction at around 9:00 p.m., according to local residents. Witnesses said the man was badly injured after being hit by the vehicle.
The victim was identified as Mohammed Ullah, 23. Community members quickly responded and took him to a BRAC hospital for emergency treatment.
“We heard a loud noise and saw the man lying on the ground. People immediately gathered and helped take him to the hospital,” one resident said.
Another witness said road conditions inside the camp have become increasingly risky at night. “The roads are very busy at night, and accidents like this are happening more often,” the witness said.
The condition of the injured man was not immediately known.
Residents have called for improved road safety measures inside the camp to reduce the risk of similar incidents.
