A recent update on Rohingya refugee population-based on camps situated in Bangladesh was released by reliefweb.
At present, the number of Rohingyas inhabited in Bangladesh estimated 913,981 including 8,227 refugees who are residing outside formal camp or site boundaries. The two registered camps Kutpalong and Nayapara camp subsequently holds 18,200 and 27,222 refugees.
Surrounded near Kutupalong RC, Camp 1E, 1W, 2E, 2W, 3, 4, 4 ext, 5, 6, 7, 8E, 8W, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19 and 20 ext holds the highest number of population consists of 613,272 refugees. The second highest densely populated area consists of Camp 14, 15 and 16 which holds 103,150 refugees.
Just beside Nayapara RC, Camp 26 has 41,007 refugees and Camp 24 has 33,540 refugees. In between Kutpalong and Nayapara camp, Unchiparang camp (Camp 22 )is located and holds 22,215 inhabitants.
The least populated camps are – Camp 27, Camp 21, Camp 23 and Camp 25 which subsequently holds 14,269, 13,172, 10,210 and 9,497 Rohingya refugees.
