Myanmar security forces killed a Rohingya, village administrator in their custody in Maungdaw after detaining for more than ten days, according to a local source.
Family sources said, “Siraj Mostafa (45), a Rohingya village administrator of Yae Khat Chaung Gwa Son died after been arrested under the anti-terrorism law in northern Maungdaw township.”
A case was filed against Mr Siraj under section 50(a) and 52(b) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC) at Nga Khu Yar police station.
“The day Siraj was detained, he was taken to Maungdaw court, from there, he was sent to Mayo police station where he was killed,” says a villager.
