Schools will reopen in Arakan state in June

The Arakan State education authority announced to reopen the primary schools in Arakan stated from 1st of June 2021.

On May 21, a meeting was held among Arakan State Administration Council, Arakan State Education Officer, District Education Officer and Township Education Officers to discuss the reopening of the schools, according to Dr Tun Tun Thein, Deputy director.

U Tun Tun Thein further announced that up to 3,196 schools out of 3,309 basic education schools are ready to re-open in Arakan state.
