On 05/03/2022, at around 6:45 pm Lambasia Camp Police conducted a raid at Lambasia camp where Maulvi Zakoria (55), son of Abdul Karim, FCN 14696 Block D/6, Camp, 1East was arrested on the allegation of his connection with Muhib Ullah assassination.
It is known that Maulvi Zakaria came back from Myanmar in 2015. He took refuge in the Lambasia area in 2016. He took charge of the fatwa department in 2019. In 2020, he became the commander-in-chief of the Ulama branch in the Kutupalong camp area of the so-called ARSA.
He had a similar dispute with the former head of ARSPH, Master Muhibullah, the top leader of Rohingya rights. After Muhibullah’s assassination, he went into hiding in the camp area. But the 14 APBN had been conducting intelligence operations since the murder to catch him. After a long four-month effort, 14 APBN’s Lambasia camp police were able to arrest him. He is considered a top adviser to the Rohingya camp’s supporters of the perpetrators, according to Naimul Hoque, superintendent of 14 APBN police
“Legal action is being taken against him,” Naimul said
