Yesterday around 9 a.m. a delegation of ICC headed by ICC Deputy Prosecutor James Kirkpatrick Stewart arrived in Dhaka to discuss with senior government officials and representatives of international organizations over the Rohingya crisis.
According to the officials, meetings will be held with officials of the Law and Home ministries along with a trip to Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar to see the situation on the ground.
The prosecutor of the ICC has already requested its judges to authorize an investigation into the crimes of deportation committed against Rohingyas by Myanmar.
The Investigating team will take a closer look at the alleged violence that left Rohingyas but to flee Myanmar to save their lives. The ICC delegates will leave Dhaka on 22nd July 2019.
