in 2019/2020 academic year, the Matriculation student passed rate is 27.27% in Rakhine State which is a 4% increase than last year according to U Than Sein, the educational head of Rakhine state.
45000 thousand students have sat examination where 12000 students have passed in Rakhine state. 20 students got distinction in all subjects, 42 students got distinction in five subjects, 57 students got distinction in four subjects, 105 students got distinction in three subjects, 343 students got distinction in two subjects and 1160 students got distinction in one subject. The rate of distinction of this year is also higher than last year.
Two Rohingya students got six distinctions and five distinctions respectively.
Muhammad Ayas, 16-year-old, son of Sawyed Hussein, roll number DaBa-106 have passed with six distinctions in all subjects from Buthidaung high school.
Ma Lwin Lwin Phoy, daughter of Muhammad Sawlim, the roll number is DaBa-56 have passed five distinctions from the same school.
