All members of the parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangladesh are present at the second meeting of the permanent committee in Cox’s Bazar. The office of the Commissioner for Refugee Relief and Repatriation in Cox’s Bazar will host a seminar on Sunday, May 12th, at 5 p.m.
On Sunday morning, they had discussions with ordinary Rohingya at Camp 5 of the CII’s office. Later, committee members visited various activities at the camp.
Before the meeting, the Chairman of the Standing Committee, Dr. A.K. Abdul Momen, Nahim Razzaq, Nurul Islam Nahid, Habibur Rahman, and Whip Sayem Sarwar Kamal from the National Parliament, along with senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are visiting Rohingya camps.
On Saturday evening, the chairman, members, and senior officials of the parliamentary standing committee on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs arrived in Cox’s Bazar by air. According to the schedule, on Sunday (May 12th) morning, committee members went to Cox’s Bazar to observe various development activities. Then, at 10 a.m., they went to the camp and observed the activities of various organizations, including UNFPA and IOM. At this time, they exchanged views with Rohingya representatives in the conference room of Camp-5’s CII office and visited the new transit camp, the Rohingya Cultural Memory Center at Camp-18, and the Kutupalong CII office.
