The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Filippo Grandi, met with Bangladesh’s Adviser for Foreign Affairs, Md. Touhid Hossain, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today to discuss the ongoing Rohingya crisis and the need for a sustainable resolution.
During the meeting, Adviser Hossain expressed gratitude for UNHCR’s continued support for the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh but reiterated the urgent need for a long-term solution.

He also voiced optimism about the proposed UN Conference, initiated by Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, which aims to mobilize meaningful global action for the Rohingya people.
