American Congressman Brad Sherman has given a strong opinion in favor of the return of the Rohingyas refugees.
Senior Democrat leader Brad Sherman highlighted the Rohingya issue and commercial cooperation with Bangladesh as a friend of the United States.
Three years ago, Sherman, who is also Chairman of the Asia-Pacific subcommittee of the US House of Representatives, offered a proposal to Bangladesh to join the Rakhine state of Myanmar with its border to solve the Rohingya crisis.
However, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directly rejected Sherman’s proposal. She said, Bangladesh will never add other’s land or annex other’s land.
Three years later, Brad Sherman said to Somoy TV, USA he is now looking forward to co-operate with Bangladesh to resolve the biggest issue which is the Rohingya crisis. The United States is also providing far more aid than any other country to Bangladesh. His country hopes Rohingyas will be allowed to return home safely.
