On Monday (7 November) late at night the road miscreants attacked and fired consecutive rounds of bullets at a Rohingya man in the Palongkhali area of Ukhiya while he was returning home from work with a vehicle called CNG. The shot youth died at Kutupalong MSF hospital.

The deceased has been known as Mohammed Salam (26) son of Abdus Salam, resident of block I of Nayapara camp.

Another Rohingya youth who was with Salam in CNG also received injury during firing. He said that the masked miscreants attacked and fired several rounds of gun inside CNG where several bullets hit Salam and the attackers left the scene. The passers by recovered Salam and rushed him to Kutupalong MSF hospital, where the on duty doctor declared him death.

“The incident occurred while we were returning from Cox’s Bazar after completion of their work,” he said.

The body has been sent to Cox’s Bazar morgue for autopsy.
