On Monday, Myanmar authorities captured a boat where 7 Rohingyas were found dead.
According to Global New Light of Myanmar newspaper, the vessel was seized near Pyapon township around 120 kilometres (75 miles) south of commercial hub Yangon.
News reports indicate that there were about 65 Rohingyas onboard where 7 of them died of of hunger, thirst and exposure in the Southern coast.
Referring Rohingyas as Bengali, the following newspaper mentioned that, “4 traffickers and 65 smuggled Bengalis were temporarily detained.”
3 men and 4 women later “died due to the bad weather and lack of food and water,” it added.
The newspaper also added that, 6 Rohingyas are receiving medical treatment while 5 men were detained so that they could be investigated and prosecuted under the law for further investigation.
