Today early in the morning the Myanmar Military Council burnt the bodies of 13 Rohingyas to ashes and destroyed the evidences of those who were brutally killed at Hlegu Township in Rangoon region.
The details of the murdered or deceased has not known yet.
As reported earlier by Rohingya Khobor, after the morbid discovery of the victims by villagers, Muslim volunteers as well as near by police took the bodies to Hlegu township’s morgue.
Confirming the bodies were of Muslim people, five Muslim led organizations in Rangoon appealed to military council to give them bodies for the completion of funeral deeds according to Islamic rules and tradition.
Though the military council assured the organizations that they would hand over the bodies for funeral functions, the military council burnt the bodies to ashes, likely to hide the evidence of the brutality the victims suffered as they were murdered.
Rohingya Youth Association (RYA) held a prayer ceremony at camp 22 in Cox’s Bazar for the 13 bodies burnt today. And demanded the killers be brought to justice.
Rohingyas want the intervention of international community and rights groups to the burning of 13 Rohingyas after extrajudicial killing in Hlegu Township of Rangoon region.
