A 12-year-old Rohingya girl has been missing from Nayapara Refugee Camp in Teknaf since the afternoon of July 21, according to her family.
The girl, identified as Mariam, is the daughter of Dil Bosor and Tachmida Begum. She lives with her family in Block B of Nayapara camp.
Her family said Mariam went missing at around 3:00 p.m. and has not been seen since. Despite searching for her and asking community members for information, the family has received no confirmed details about her whereabouts.
The circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unclear. There is currently no verified information indicating where she may have gone or whether another person was involved.
Her family has appealed to camp residents, authorities and humanitarian organisations to assist in the search. Anyone who has seen Mariam or has credible information about her whereabouts is requested to contact the family immediately:
