Rakhine region: On Monday (10 October) around 8 pm, five members of Arakan Army (AA) cruelly fustigated an innocent Rohingya man while he was fishing silently in a small stream adjacent to Thein Taung village of Buthidaung.

The victim is Zafar (48) son of Moti Rahman, resident of Thein Taung village in Buthidaung township.

A Rohingya from the village who declined to be named told Rohingya Khobor (RK) that on Monday five members of AA equipped with heavy weapons came to Ah Twin Nget Thay village of Buthidaung and brutally larruped Zafar to severe injury while he was fishing without uttering any sound.

The victim Zafar is under medication in critical condition.

The locals said that the brutalities of both AA and military against underprivileged civilian Rohingyas recklessly increasing day by day. And even both armed groups are targeting and killing Rohingyas in the name of so called fighting, that is creating highly anxieties among Rohingya civilians.
