On Saturday evening, Additional District Commissioner (ADC) Ashraful Abser seized a laden degraded food truck consigned by International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) for food distribution in existing refugee camps at Cox’s bazar.
According to FD7, the IIRO been permitted to distribute food for about 1542 Rohingya Refugee families. Unfortunately, the food quality they revealed in permission letter was later found degraded. The following items were – rice, wheat, lentil, oil, salt, sugar and chickpeas.
“We have got many complaints against their low quality food distribution and now we got them red handed. We have seized many products. Further investigation is going on and we will take strong action against them,” added by Ashraful Abser (ADC).
