On 19 September 2022 (Monday) the Acting Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh Rear Admiral (Retd.) Md. Khurshed Alam informed the heads of Mission of ASEAN in Dhaka about the ongoing tension on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border.
The Secretary informed the ASEAN envoys about Dhaka’s deep concern over recent mortar shelling and explosions from Myanmar inside Bangladesh.
The ASEAN envoys have assured to convey the concerns of Bangladesh to their respective governments.
