On Thursday, Makoto Hasebe, a former footballer who serves as Japan’s national UNICEF goodwill ambassador, visits Kutupalong Rohingya refugee camp at Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. Earlier that day, the Ex Japan captain played soccer with Rohingya children on a muddy field at the Kutupalong to boost their morality. It is one of the largest camps of its kind, where roughly 600,000 refugees live.
During Hasebe visit he said, “I want to urge the world community to tackle the refugee problem and solve it as soon as possible.”
Being a Muslim minority in the predominantly Buddhist Myanmar, Rohingyas chances to return home are diminishing day by day.
