Today more than 1000 military have been brought at Buthidaung and similarly, about 1000 military arrived at Maungdaw township of Rakhine state, according to a resident.
However, RK could not confirm the exact number.
“The military forces surrounded the In Sein Nyaung Pyar village in Buthidaung, while about 300 military personals raided every single house in the village”, said a source, adding that the military randomly detained many of the Rohingya men on last Thursday.
The sudden appearance of a large number of military in the Rohingya populated area reminded the mass killing, rapping, and village torching by Myanmar forces in 2017. The appearance of the military created panic among the Rohingya people in Rakhine state.
