Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina called upon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to come forward to restore the rights, including the rehabilitation of the Rohingya people. Despite repeated announcements from Myanmar, the country has failed to create a favorable environment for the Rohingyas to return.

Sheikh Hasina also added that Bangladesh has sheltered more than 1.1 million Rohingya Muslims in spite of constraint resources.

Sheikh Hasina thanked the Gambia for its active role.
