The supreme court of India on Thursday passed an order to deport 150 detained Rohingya refugees at Jammu to Myanmar. Refugees in India are in a state of horror.
“We are the most persecuted and tortured people and we were forced to flee our homeland, even our citizenship was revoked. Our situation remains unchanged till now. In this condition, sending us back to Myanmar will be like pushing us in the mouth of the snake,” a refugee from Jammu said.
“Deporting us to Myanmar is like throwing us to a blazing fire”, said another refugee.
“The international community should intervene to protect us from uncertain lives.” said a widow Rohingya refugee.
