A violent incident in Camp-10 of the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar left a woman critically injured and a man taken away by an armed group during the early hours of 10 June 2026, according to local residents.
Community sources said that a large group of armed men entered a shelter in Block H-27 at around 1:30 a.m. They reportedly surrounded the area and detained a 30-year-old man who was accused by the group of being connected to a rival organization.
Witnesses alleged that the man was tied up, physically assaulted, and taken away from the area. His current condition and whereabouts could not be independently verified.
According to residents, the man’s 27-year-old wife tried to intervene when the group was taking her husband away. During the confrontation, she was reportedly shot and seriously injured.
