A Rohingya child severely burnt to death in the Kutupalong camp, Ukhiya

On 8 March 2022 at around 3:30 pm fire broke out at D2 of camp 5 Kutupalong, Ukhiya police station wherein about 300 sheds were blazed out and one refugee child burnt to death.

After a long struggle, four units of the fire brigade extinguished the fire and brought the blaze under control. The death of a child has been reported, according to Shamsud Douza the additional Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner.

Repeatedly catching fire in camps made general refugees highly concerned and disconsolate.
