On Monday (April 24) around 9 pm, a devastating fire destroyed more than 70 Rohingya shelters at Chakmarkul camp-21 in Teknaf.
A refugee from camp-21 said, “We saw smoke coming out from a shelter and no sooner we reached the spot to see the matter, the fire got bigger and broke out around. We started watering to douse the fire. Later on, receiving the information, two unit of fire brigade from Teknaf came and brought the fire under control after hours of attempt.”
The constant blazing in camps have made the Rohingyas worried.
