On Sunday evening some of the members of so called Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA) kidnapped a Rohingya man from refugee camp 17 and the next morning the kidnappers assaulted the victims by stabbing him with a knife.
A near by refugee under anonymity told Rohingya Khobor (RK) that they rushed the victim to near by camp hospital when the saw him in critical condition fighting death. After initial treatment, the on duty doctor immediately referred the victim to Coxs Bazar for better treatment.
Hossain, brother of the victim said, ” My brother [name redacted] used to raise voice against ARSA’s barbarism in and outside camp. That’s why the ARSA members who are not peace loving kidnapped my brother and severely cut his hand and leg.”
Due to inaction of law enforcement agencies against ARSA’s brutalities, they have become reckless.
The repeatedly beastliness of ARSA in the camp has created anxiety among Rohingyas in camp.
