On July 5, more than 30 Border Guard Polices (BGP) tested Covid-19 positive in Maungdaw township, according to a senior medical official from Maungdaw District.
According to Dr Nu Kaythi San, medical superintendent of Maungdaw District General Hospital the Covid19 affected BGPs are the new arrivals who came via boat recently.
The number of Border guard and police family members infected covid-19 has reached about 140 in Maungdaw township and more than 50 in Buthidaung.
During the third wave of the pandemic, reached 500 Covid-19 cases in Arakan State.
