On Thursday (30 November) around 6 am, miscreants shot and killed a young Rohingya man after entering the house in the Ukhiya camp of Cox’s Bazar.
The incident took place in Block E/4 area of Kutupalong camp – 4 of the Ukhiya.
The deceased is Sayed Alam (24) son of Mohammad Muchi of camp-4.
The locals said that approximately at 6:15 am on Thursday morning, some unidentified 10/15 masked gunmen suddenly entered Sayed Alam’s house in E/4 Block of Kutupalong Camp – 4 and ran away. Later he (Sayed) was rescued in a critical condition and taken to the nearest IOM hospital where the on duty doctor declared him dead. The body has been sent to Cox’s Bazar morgue for autopsy.
Police personnel said that apart from taking legal measures in this regard, an operation is underway to arrest those involved.
