Rakhine state: On 10 November 2022 in the afternoon, the military arrested a Rohingya man from the area of Fanzin river bridge, bringing false allegations of his involvement with ULA/AA in Buthidaung.
The arrestee is Haniba (32) son of Dil Mohammed, resides in Maung Hnama village of Buthidaung.
A Rohingya from Buthidaung under the condition of anonymity told Rohingya Khobor (RK) that Buthidaung base law enforcement agencies are committing series arrest of Rohingyas, bringing false charges of their (Rohingyas) connection with ULA/AA.
Another villager, Tin Moe Aung, a military commander in Buthidaung and said that they (Law enforcement agencies) are collecting a list of Rohingyas who allegedly have a connection with Arakan Army (AA/ULA) and village administrators are called on to provide a list.
The Rohingya community from Buthidaung expressed their concern by saying that the law enforcement agencies led by the military council are working on plan for ‘December (2)’ to commit mass or a series arrest against Rohingya civilians on false charges of connections with AA. “This plan will certainly shove Rohingyas to life of terror and instability within the region,” a Rohingya said.
Some of the residents said that they are highly worried about the fact that the coup military council is arresting Rohingya civilians in Buthidaung Township under the pretext of being involved with ULA/AA.
