Bandarban: On Tuesday (4 October 2022) in the afternoon Abdul Quader’s leg was blown off by a mine explosion on the Bangladesh-Myanmar border in Cherakum area of Dochari Union in Bandarban. Various parts of the body including the eyes were also injured.
The locals said that this incident took place no sooner after a Rohingya teenager was killed in a mine explosion in Bangladesh – Myanmar border on October 2.
Mohammed Hussein, a companion of Quader said that he (Quader) became the victim of mine explosion while he wen to bringing cattle from the border side. Later the locals rescued and rushed him to the hospital.
The local residents of border side area including Rohingyas in No Man’s Land are in panic due to continued mine explosions on Myanmar-Bangladesh border.
