Myanmar military and Arakan Army fights over to seize waterways of Sittwe-Buthidaung-Rathedaung

Since Saturday, a new series of clashes took place between Arakan Army (AA) and Myanmar military caused heavy casualties in Rathedaung township.

According to The Irrawaddy, Kyauktan and Aungtharzi village of Rathedaung Township encountered the terrible strikes.

An eyewitness who belongs from Rathedaung’s Upper House lawmaker U Khin Maung Latt told The Irrawaddy, “The clashes were fierce, probably the fiercest so far in Rathedaung. On Monday, (the military) bombed with fighter jets and there has been shelling every day.”
